To The Department of Executive Administration!
In May 2002, the existing Department of
Finance was reorganized to create two separate agencies, one to
focus closely on financial management (retaining the name
"Department of Finance") and the other to handle the more
operational and administrative tasks performed by the
"old" Department of Finance. This new department is called
the "Department of Executive Administration."
The new Department of Executive
Administration has operational responsibilities for Citywide
accounting, payroll, licensing, revenue collection and processing,
animal services, weights and measures, treasury activities,
purchasing, construction and consultant contracting, risk management
and the SUMMIT and HRIS data systems.
